A peer
review attorney is a lawyer is one who has attained proficiency
and experience in representing healthcare professionals in the peer review
process. Kenneth Haber has such experience and uses a hospital’s medical staff
Bylaws, our civil rights laws and any other legal mechanism to effectively
represent his clients.
It is as critical for a physician not to attempt to resolve his
own credentialing status as for a patient not to attempt to diagnosis and treat
his own symptoms. A peer review attorney stands on the wall and protects the
healthcare provider from those who would challenge his privileges. These
challenges can arise due to economic and discriminatory reasons as well as
personal animus. It does not take much to put a healthcare provider into the
National Practitioners Data Bank due to an adverse peer review finding. It is
often the routine consequence of an adverse peer review determination.
Unfortunately, such a adverse data banking often can destroy a healthcare
provider’s career or, at a minimum, greatly impede the provider’s career. Neither
peer review matters nor any credentialing [or licensing] matter should be taken
lightly. It is easier to correct a situation before it matures instead of
waiting until after it has fully blossomed. Mr. Haber has favorably resolved
many CMS matters, for his clients, as a CMS
Lawyer as well as OIG matters, for his clients, as an OIG
Attorney.
It is important to retain an experienced peer review attorney when
seeking to protect your hospital privileges or any other credentialing matter;
i.e., CMS matters, OIG matters, 3rd party payer participation,
licensing matters; NPDB; etc. Mr. Haber has been licensed since 1970.
